Kayte Lawton

Kayte Lawton is a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR), where she works on employment, welfare, skills, poverty and inequality. Kayte is currently leading projects on wage inequality, the living wage and wealth inequality, and is also contributing to IPPR work on skills, tax and benefit reform. She has previously completed projects on low pay and in-work poverty, full employment, green jobs and fuel poverty. Kayte joined in IPPR in 2006 and previously worked in research administration. She has a BA in Geography and an MA in Latin American Studies, both from the University of Liverpool. Recent publications for IPPR include: Jobs for the Future: The path back to full employment in the UK (with Tony Dolphin and Clare McNeil); Getting What We Deserve? Attitudes to pay, reward and desert (with Tess Lanning); Nice Work If You Can Get It: Achieving a sustainable solution to low pay and in-work poverty.
