Professor Patricia Findlay

 

Professor Patricia Findlay is Director of the Scottish Centre for Employment Research and is Professor of Work and Employment Relations at the Department of Human Resource Management at the University of Strathclyde Business School. Her research and teaching expertise spans the study of work and the management of the employment relationship, including workplace innovation, skills and skills valuation and workplace representation. Her recent/current research focuses on pay inequality and gendered careers; workplace and union-led learning, and skills utilisation.  She is currently co-editing (with Warhurst and Kalleberg) a special issue of the journal Human Relations on job quality.  She is also a long-standing member of the Employment Tribunals Service, and is a co-organiser of this ESRC seminar series.
