Gerhard Bosch is Professor of Sociology and Director of the Institute for Work, Skills and Training (IAQ) at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. He is an expert on labour markets and has published widely in the areas of comparative working time, industrial relations, vocational training, pay and employment systems. He has been adviser for the EU, the ILO and the OECD and led the German research team for the Russell Sage Foundation project on Low Wage Europe.
